The dream of my love

this heart of mine. courtesy of Laura Zanello, painter and friend.

These are days
in which
I’d like to lock myself
under a blanket.

Would you like to join?

We could have a tea
into the colored feathers,
but without coughing and with our pinkies up.

We could roll forever
into heart-shaped pillows,
pure as a
blade just polished.

I will show you
the way out from
the
labyrinth of my
heart.

You will be the one to know my secret.

But we chose the easiest path
that one of the bad habit
and you won’t accept my invitation
and my gaze will avoid
yours to fear of discovering
how far this reality of mine is
from the dream of my love.
