Parmenides’s Lesson

a poem on friendship

Some appear

Some stay

Of some, I deleted any trace

For some, I came back

Of some, I felt the moment they went away:

- they have just gone away and stopped

- they have just melted away without saying sorry

I pleasured myself

with Parmenides’s lesson,

when the being persists

maybe because all of this motion

is happening around

a spike of rock

fashioned with persistence

and silence.
