Mother’s day

At my birthday,
I was given
Some money.

I have not been buying anything for me in years
Something wonderfully needless,
Something simply essential:
a hair perfume
a swimsuit
a black pullover
one more pursue.

I bought her:
a pair of new sandals,
the jeans jacket she hopelessly wanted,
the third volume of her favourite fantasy book.

At the bottom of the day,
I bought a small pot of cream for my face: it regenerates the skin.
I bought the pot at the superstore. I did not use it yet.
