  • leftover of dinner and lunch
  • a disused bra
  • second-hand shoes hurting someone else’s feet

She settled for with
what remained.

For laziness.
For sloth.
For fear to ask.

She was feeding
with deprivation,
holding everything,
not making a sound,
not clamoring.

As a dog
that does not
dirty.
